Products I took on holiday :)

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would share with you the products which I took with me on my recent holiday. When heading back from a holiday I am ruthless with throwing away toiletries, I am so paranoid about my luggage being overweight that literally only the products which I could not bare to put in the bin (or ones which are far too expensive to consider doing that!) make it home with me. Of the products shown here two of them made it home so you'll have to stay tuned to find out which ones they were! First up...my mini's!

I took mini's of both my Liz Earle cleanse and polish and toner. I really enjoyed using my cleanse and polish on an evening as it left my skin feeling so fresh and clean, both of these were the perfect size for two weeks :). The balance me pure skin face wash was a magazine freebie. For me, this wasn't really anything special it felt gentle on my skin which I liked but I wasn't really too keen on the scent. I love the soap and glory clean on me shower gel I had actually been saving up this mini since christmas to take away on holiday! For shampoo and conditioner I took the umberto Giannini beauty secrets range, I really like these products I find they leave my hair feeling squeeky clean without drying it out.

Also from the beauty secrets range I took the hairspray and overnight beauty moisture balm. For heat protection I used tresemme's head defence and I bought a small spray bottle from superdrug to take some of my mac fix plus. I have actually never taken my fix plus on holiday with me before, and I am so glad I did! I felt like it really did help keep my makeup in place on an evening when it was still pretty hot and humid!

The La Roche Posay thermal spring water was a freebie with my La Roche Posay facial spf (fantastic product!) from boots. I kept this in my hangbag on an evening and it was really refreshing and didn't disrupt my makeup. Moisturiser wise I took my dermalogica active moist which I love. It works really well for my skin and I can't see myself changing to anything else anytime soon, this definitely made it home with me!

Finally what is quite possible my number 1 product of the summer. Dove's hair therapy nourishing oil care express treatment conditioner. I have been using this product on and off for quite a few months, I've also bought it for my nan, mum, best friend..sister! you name it because it is really reasonable (often on offer in boots/tesco/superdrug) and I feel like it really does make a difference to my hair. On holiday I stepped it up a notch and used this every other day rather than once a week as a do at home. It left my hair feeling, smooth, silky and soft I already have a back up in my bathroom and this one made it home too :)

If you are going on holiday soon, have a fantastic time!

My Holiday Outfits :)

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite outfits from my recent holiday :)

Playsuit - H&M
Belt - River Island
Bag - Mango
Flipflops - Havaianas

This playsuit was a real bargain from H&M at £12 it was lovely and light, and I really like the animal print pattern. My havaianas are the slim style in the colour gold, I have had them for about 3 years and unfortunately have broken since I came back from my holiday! They are my 2nd pair of havaianas and I'm sure I will be buying some replacements soon as they are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn!

Top - Matalan
Shorts - River Island
Sandals - River Island
Bag - Mango
Necklace - New Look

Mint green is one of my favourite colours at the moment, and I really like this top from matalan it was only £4 too! The river island shorts were a sale purchase, they have rose gold detail on the buttons which I really like and if you have been reading my blog for a while you will recognise the sandals from a pre holiday haul last year! :)

Dress - Love (at Topshop)
Belt - River Island
Bag - Mango
Flip Flops - Havaianas

I really like this dress, which was a topshop sale purchase for £25. My mango bag got a lot of wear this holiday! It is lovely soft leather, I don't normally look in mango for bags but they have some lovely ones in at the moment. I curled my hair with my babyliss wave wand, which is one of my favourite hair tools :)

and thats everything! any suggestions for colours for my next pair of havaianas?

My current favourite essie nail polishes :-)

Hi ladies,

I am back from my super summer holiday with a new post for you! My current favourite essie nail polishes :) Two of these are ones which I have had for quite a long time and have rediscovered this summer and one is a new one which I picked up from boots a few weeks ago.

L-R Exposure, Mint candy apple, Van D'go

Exposure and Van D'go are the polishes which I have had for quite a while, and mint candy apple is my newbie! Exposure is a really bright fuschia, I've been loving wearing this on my toes it looks great with flip flops and sandals. I'm sure you have seen mint candy apple before! I don't know why it took me so long to get this, it is right up my street I used to love the mint green barry M polish (except it stained my nails awfully!) I find this to be much more pastel in colour, it is lovely and summery and is a nice change from my usual pinks. Van d'go is another polish which I have been enjoying wearing on my nails, for me it is the perfect pastel peach. I always get compliments on my nails when I am wearing this, the only problem I have with it is that I find it quite difficult to apply, it can be quite streaky and needs a good few coats, but it is definitely worth it!

What are your favourite essie polishes?

I have quite a few holiday themed posts coming up including some holiday outfits and the products which I used on my holiday :)

A slightly summery outfit of the day!

Hi ladies,

I thought I would share an outfit of the day with you, this is from a couple of days ago when I went shopping for a few last minute holiday bits and there was a little bit of sunshine (hurray!)

Dress - New look
Blazer - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Belt - Primark
Bag - Michael Kors
Sunglasses - Ray Bans (Boyfriends!)

I love this dress from new look. It is actually a midi dress but on my 5ft 2'' self it looks like more of a maxi. It is a lovely soft cotton, really comfortable and easy to wear. Apologies for my hair in this picture, it was in desperate need of a cut and re style which I thankfully had done this morning!

I am heading away for 2 weeks of sun, sea and sand in a few days, and I cannot wait! let me know if you would like me to do more OOTD posts :)

Have a fantastic week!

My Bobby Pin Tin! :)

Hi Ladies,

I don't know about you but I am forever buying bobby pins and can never seem to keep them in the same place. I try to keep them on the bits of cardboard that they come on but that never lasts, I once bought some which came in a tube which I had every intention of refilling but that never happened either. Little did I know, all I needed to keep my bobby pins in order was a super cute tin from Cath Kidston!

I spotted this whilst I was browsing the Cath Kidston sale and as soon as I saw it I thought it would be perfect for my bobby pins. They also have it in red and I think it was around £3.00. This tin is not actually meant for bobby pins, it was in the sewing section and is for the pins which go in your sewing box. It actually came with a set of pins inside which I swiftly gave to my mum for her sewing kit and I then trawled my room finding bobby pins in the most random of places and started filling my tin up! :)

I'm so chuffed with this. I have been keeping it in my handbag and every time I find a bobby pin somewhere I actually enjoy putting it back in this little tin!

Have a lovely week :)

New Shoes! :)

Hi Ladies,

Over the past month or so I have bought not one, not two but three new pairs of shoes which I thought I would share with you :) I'm don't usually buy shoes that often, and I tend to spend a bit more money on shoes which I know will last me a long time (I have two trusty pairs of heels both from Kurt Geiger which I absolutely treasure they have lasted me 4 years and counting!) but I fancied some new shoes for my summer holiday and who can resist a bargain?!

So the first pair are these bright turquoise jelly style flats from KG. They had these in a coral colour too and they were reduced from £25 to £9. When I tried them on they were so comfy that I just couldn't resist them! I love how bright and summery they are and I think they'll look great with jeans and shorts.

I don't really like to take heels on holiday, I prefer to take a few fancy pairs of flips flops but this year I was on the look out for a versatile pair of wedges with what a would like to call a sensible heel! I found just what I was looking for in debenhams a few weeks ago.

These were £20 and are from a range called good for the sole. They are so comfortable on will hopefully go with most things I am taking on holiday, I am really pleased with these I only wish they did them in a neutral/beige colour so I could get those too!

And finally I picked up these sparkly flats from ALDO

These were the most expensive of my new shoes at £30 and they're also currently the most uncomfortable (definitely need a bit of wearing in but hopefully they'll be fine!). I wanted some fancy flats to save for best for those times when I'm going out with friends for a meal or drinks and I don't really want to wear heels but don't want to wear my day to day shoes either. I love the detail on these, they remind me of a style Kurt Geiger had in a few years ago which I lusted after every time I went into the shop but could never bring myself to purchase! They are a soft suede style material and the detail on the toes is so lovely, I can't wait to wear them!

and that's everything! have you bought any new shoes recently?

Hope you have a fantastic week!
