The cutest hair ties ever! :)

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to share with you these adorable hair ties which I picked up from Claire's Accessories the other day.

I love the pastel colours, they make me feel like a ballerina! I love little things like this which can spruce up a pony tail to make it a bit more exciting, they look lovely over a bun too :)

Hope you're having a great week!

A weekend wedding - How I did my hair :)

Hi Ladies,

Last weekend I was at a wedding, it was a beautiful day and I had a fantastic time! I went for an updo with my hair to keep it out of the way (it was super hot) and neat and tidy. It was really easy to do so I thought I would share it with you :)

First of all I curled my hair with my babyliss wave wand to give my hair a bit more texture. I then put it into a low pony tail and used a bun doughnut (this one was from H&M) to create my bun by putting the doughnut over my ponytail distributing my hair around it in sections and securing it with kirby grips. I then put a pony tail band around the whole bun to secure it in place. My hair is pretty long, so I then split the extra hair into two sections, loosely plaited these, wrapped them around the bun in opposite directions and pinned them into place covering the blonde pony tail band :)

I bought the little pink flower from claire's accessories which I clipped into the side of my bun to hide any untidy bits, and I then used my wave wand to curl any loose bits of hair et voila!

My hair stayed put all day, I have a few different hair doughnuts but I really like the size of this one from H&M and it is a golden blonde colour making it a bit easier to cover with my hair. From what I can remember it was around £2.99.

Let me know if you'd like more hair themed posts, I really enjoy doing them! I also have a post coming up on my favourite hair tools :)

 Have a lovely weekend,

Products I took on holiday :)

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would share with you the products which I took with me on my recent holiday. When heading back from a holiday I am ruthless with throwing away toiletries, I am so paranoid about my luggage being overweight that literally only the products which I could not bare to put in the bin (or ones which are far too expensive to consider doing that!) make it home with me. Of the products shown here two of them made it home so you'll have to stay tuned to find out which ones they were! First up...my mini's!

I took mini's of both my Liz Earle cleanse and polish and toner. I really enjoyed using my cleanse and polish on an evening as it left my skin feeling so fresh and clean, both of these were the perfect size for two weeks :). The balance me pure skin face wash was a magazine freebie. For me, this wasn't really anything special it felt gentle on my skin which I liked but I wasn't really too keen on the scent. I love the soap and glory clean on me shower gel I had actually been saving up this mini since christmas to take away on holiday! For shampoo and conditioner I took the umberto Giannini beauty secrets range, I really like these products I find they leave my hair feeling squeeky clean without drying it out.

Also from the beauty secrets range I took the hairspray and overnight beauty moisture balm. For heat protection I used tresemme's head defence and I bought a small spray bottle from superdrug to take some of my mac fix plus. I have actually never taken my fix plus on holiday with me before, and I am so glad I did! I felt like it really did help keep my makeup in place on an evening when it was still pretty hot and humid!

The La Roche Posay thermal spring water was a freebie with my La Roche Posay facial spf (fantastic product!) from boots. I kept this in my hangbag on an evening and it was really refreshing and didn't disrupt my makeup. Moisturiser wise I took my dermalogica active moist which I love. It works really well for my skin and I can't see myself changing to anything else anytime soon, this definitely made it home with me!

Finally what is quite possible my number 1 product of the summer. Dove's hair therapy nourishing oil care express treatment conditioner. I have been using this product on and off for quite a few months, I've also bought it for my nan, mum, best friend..sister! you name it because it is really reasonable (often on offer in boots/tesco/superdrug) and I feel like it really does make a difference to my hair. On holiday I stepped it up a notch and used this every other day rather than once a week as a do at home. It left my hair feeling, smooth, silky and soft I already have a back up in my bathroom and this one made it home too :)

If you are going on holiday soon, have a fantastic time!

My Holiday Outfits :)

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite outfits from my recent holiday :)

Playsuit - H&M
Belt - River Island
Bag - Mango
Flipflops - Havaianas

This playsuit was a real bargain from H&M at £12 it was lovely and light, and I really like the animal print pattern. My havaianas are the slim style in the colour gold, I have had them for about 3 years and unfortunately have broken since I came back from my holiday! They are my 2nd pair of havaianas and I'm sure I will be buying some replacements soon as they are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn!

Top - Matalan
Shorts - River Island
Sandals - River Island
Bag - Mango
Necklace - New Look

Mint green is one of my favourite colours at the moment, and I really like this top from matalan it was only £4 too! The river island shorts were a sale purchase, they have rose gold detail on the buttons which I really like and if you have been reading my blog for a while you will recognise the sandals from a pre holiday haul last year! :)

Dress - Love (at Topshop)
Belt - River Island
Bag - Mango
Flip Flops - Havaianas

I really like this dress, which was a topshop sale purchase for £25. My mango bag got a lot of wear this holiday! It is lovely soft leather, I don't normally look in mango for bags but they have some lovely ones in at the moment. I curled my hair with my babyliss wave wand, which is one of my favourite hair tools :)

and thats everything! any suggestions for colours for my next pair of havaianas?

My current favourite essie nail polishes :-)

Hi ladies,

I am back from my super summer holiday with a new post for you! My current favourite essie nail polishes :) Two of these are ones which I have had for quite a long time and have rediscovered this summer and one is a new one which I picked up from boots a few weeks ago.

L-R Exposure, Mint candy apple, Van D'go

Exposure and Van D'go are the polishes which I have had for quite a while, and mint candy apple is my newbie! Exposure is a really bright fuschia, I've been loving wearing this on my toes it looks great with flip flops and sandals. I'm sure you have seen mint candy apple before! I don't know why it took me so long to get this, it is right up my street I used to love the mint green barry M polish (except it stained my nails awfully!) I find this to be much more pastel in colour, it is lovely and summery and is a nice change from my usual pinks. Van d'go is another polish which I have been enjoying wearing on my nails, for me it is the perfect pastel peach. I always get compliments on my nails when I am wearing this, the only problem I have with it is that I find it quite difficult to apply, it can be quite streaky and needs a good few coats, but it is definitely worth it!

What are your favourite essie polishes?

I have quite a few holiday themed posts coming up including some holiday outfits and the products which I used on my holiday :)
