A little trip to MAC

Hi Ladies,

So I visited the MAC counter the other day for the first time in ages and I thought I would share with you what I picked up.

I wanted to try an eyebrow pencil and had gone to the counter with the intention of purchasing the colour lingering, However the sales assistant steered me towards the colour ''fling'' and I'm so pleased she did! Fling is a light golden brown - it is a perfect colour match for my brows and blends perfectly with my hair colour too I'm so pleased with it.

While I was there I repurchased my good old favourite concealer MAC's studio finish. I still love this concealer and am yet to find anything which works as well as it does for me. I use the colour NW20, it provides great coverage and is really long lasting. I'm sure you've seen it a million times before but here's a picture just in case! :)

What are your favourite MAC products?

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

My Gluten Free Food Favourites :)

Hi Ladies,

I know this post isn't going to be relevant to everyone but I thought it might be helpful for any other coeliacs or gluten intolerant people out there :) I know gluten free shopping can be a total minefield and I have definitely wasted money on buying things only to find that they did not pass the taste test (at all!) so I thought I would share with you a few of the gluten free products which I really like and buy on a regular basis.

First up is two Amy's Kitchen products, I absolutely love these (although the mac and cheese is my personal fave), they are really tasty and super easy to make if you're in a hurry.

The only problem with these, is that as with pretty much all gluten free products they are a little on the pricey side however I have noticed that the do go on offer in tesco occasionally which is when I usually stock up!

Dietary specials is probably my favourite gluten free brand (I haven't included it in this post as I usually eat them as soon as I buy them so there is no time for pictures but I love their bonta d'italia pizza's!). I like to have these crispbreads with cream cheese and smoked salmon as a snack or as part of a light lunch. I'm very picky with gluten free bread and don't really tend to it it but when I do I always have these brown ciabatta rolls, they're lovely with soup!

Finally, my favourite treat - I love this time of year when mini eggs appear on the shelves!

I'm sure it goes without saying, but always check the label before buying anything I feature here as ingredients are always changing and being updated.

Let me know if this was helpful, and I will definitely do some of these posts again! :)

A Mini Primark Haul :)

Hi Ladies,

I popped to primark a couple of days ago and picked up a few things. Hardly enough to warrant a haul post but I am so excited by one of the items I bought that I had to share them with you :)

I have been umh-ing and ahh-ing over buying some disco pants for some time now, I love the way they look on other people but I was always a bit dubious about whether I would be able to pull them off or not and as they're pretty pricey I've never bought a pair. So when I spotted these disco pants style trousers in primark for £16 I decided I would give them a try and I am so chuffed with them!

These are so comfortable, and I actually find them to be really flattering on. The material is reasonably thick although I would not say that they are completely opaque, they are not overly stretchy and are actually quite tailored. They have pockets on the back and a zip and button on the front. I think I'm going to pick up another pair of these next time I go to primark I hope they bring out some different colours!

I also picked up a pair of the ultra soft super skinny jeans in black for £11

I've never actually bought any jeans from primark before, and as my current black jeans are looking pretty faded after only a few washes, I thought I would give these a try. I was really pleased to see that primark actually do these in different leg lengths (I got a short!) which I wasn't expecting. These material is pretty thin, but they fit nicely I'm sure I will get my wear out of them!

Finally, I picked up a candle from the primark home section. The scent is coconut milk and mango and it smells absolutely amazing!

This was £2, the pattern on the tin is really pretty and goes perfectly in my room. I have had the lid off for a couple of days and it is really well scented my whole room smells lovely and I haven't even burnt it yet!

So that's everything, Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
